We are going to Mars !

Ladies and gentleman, as the sign is active please keep your seat belts fastened. We are approaching Mars Inter-planet space station and will be landing shortly. Outside temperature seems to be 20 degree Celsius.

A crew of 2-4 members will land on Mars on a ONE WAY mission and never return. After which crews and supplies will be sent every year until 40 settlers have colonized mars.

Seems fake ?

I know it does.

It is for REAL.

Be thinkers: Go to the greatest scientist you know in the world and ask him what do we know about Antarctica ? He will say, we know a bit but its hardly even one percent.

Go to him again and ask him what do we know about the oceans ? He will clearly tell you that almost all of it is unexplored.

Earths internal structure ? Unexplored.

Amazon forest ? Unexplored.

Species of animals ? Unexplored.

Human Body ? Unexplored.

We seriously don't know much about our planet or its oceans or it's people or animals but we have finally decided to settle on Mars. Be thinkers loves the idea of technological jump and it is possible that this technological jump will provide us with more ideas about how we can explore our own planet. The real question that worries Be Thinkers is this :

Mars-One will be sending the people into space and as their founder Bas Lansdorp stated " There will be a reality show (like Big Boss and Big Brother) about the whole experience of the crew and their life on Mars. That includes the fact that it takes about 3-22 minutes for a message to travel from mars to earth and then again 3-22 minutes back to mars. Also, this number may differ greatly depending on earth's position and satellite's position etc. Will they have watsapp on mars ? well, I guess yes. But last seen will update every half and hour or so[which sucks]. Not to mention, 40 people will not have access to Facebook and that is a reduction in my predicted number of likes ! In reality they will have facebook accounts as well. I doubt they will follow me from Mars after this post though.

The problem is totally different. Let me explain this with an example :

Think of all the earth's resources in one place. Imagine it as a Pie chart or a Pizza. There is only one Pizza and when the Pizza is divided among people equally it will benefit everyone. However, when some one takes a bigger slice from the pizza it simply means that everyone else will have a smaller piece.

There are people dying in MILLIONS due to hunger or need for medication etc. Who is responsible ? People like the Ambaniz of India and no other. They used up a huge chunk of the pizza for themselves. So much of greed that even they cannot experience it in totality themselves. This leaves less or no share for millions of others. Mars-one says they will fund the project by TV views and other resources. Will money "paper" power the ships ? These resources which entire generations have been deprived of, earth has been deprived of, people across the world have died as these resources have not reached them or have been too high priced will now be used to send 40 people on Mars ? [A what ? Should I read that long ass sentence again ?]

Pizza would become smaller.

The initial project would cost 6 Billion Dollars. What a lie. It does not cost dollars it costs resources ! Will they use dollars on Mars ? No, they will use our minerals.

Advance as much as possible. Populate the entire universe. But if it is of no use to people dying in millions....Then why do it ? Why steal from millions here to feed a 40 few there. WHY ?

Is TV entertainment really worth more than suffering millions ?

The whole concept is a Hoax in my opinion. Even if they send someone it will not be real. We may just see animated images from space. It already takes a long time to send and receive messages so it can always be an excuse. You never know !
